In 2010-2011, the Alabama Department of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention (Children's Trust Fund-Prevent Child Abuse Alabama), in partnership with the Alabama Department of Human Resources, awarded over $978,000 to 23 Fatherhood Programs across the state. Programs reinforce the rights and responsibilities of being a parent, as well as, offer case management and encourage financial and emotional support of Alabama children.
Healthy Marriage Program
The Healthy Marriage Program provides healthy relationship services in Alabama's seven congressional districts with a $120,000 allocation of TANF funds designated by the Alabama Department of Human Resources. Programs can help couples learn to reduce patterns of negative interaction and maintain higher levels of relationship satisfaction.
